Readystartt Instructions
1. Check the oil level. Ensure level is at FULL mark
on the dipstick. Use a high quality motor oil.
Check the oil recommendations for the correct oil
type to use depending on expected starting
temperatures.
FULL
2. Move speed control to FAST, if equipped. Operate
engine in FAST position.
3. Close bail, or operator control bar on equipment
with this feature.
4. Start your engine. See options at right.
Rewind Start
•
Grasp rope handle. Pull slowly until resistance is
felt, then pull rapidly to start engine and avoid
kickback.
Electric Start
•
Insert key and turn to start.
•
Allow engine to warm up.
To prolong starter life use short starting cycles
(5 seconds maximum, then wait one minute).
Follow equipment manufacturer’s
recommendations for charging battery.
CAUTION
Stopping Engine
•
Release bail or operator control bar -- O R -- Move
throttle (if equipped) to SLOW and then STOP
position.
