Also, the tape might be jammed. If jammed, remove the tape cartridge and pull out the jammed tape, using scissors to cut off the tape you pulled out, then load the tape cartridge back into the printer. Low battery power can also cause this, so try using the AC adapter or a fresh set of batteries.

Tape could be jammed in the tape outlet, so turn off the printer, remove the tape cartridge, and remove the jammed label. If NONE is selected for the MARGINS setting of the format being used, change the MARGINS setting to NARROW, MEDIUM or WIDE. If UNCUT is selected for the tape cut mode, change the tape cut mode setting to something other than UNCUT.
