you
can
play
up
to
two
keys
at
once
(2-key
polyphony).
Even
if
you
press
more
than
two
keys,
only
two
notes
will
sound.

Digitaily
Sampled
Tones
A
number
of
this
keyboard’s
tones
are
digitally
sampled.
This
means
that
recordings
of
acoustic
musical
instruments
are
taken,
and
the
recording
ts
processed
in
order
to
make
it
possible
to
store
the
data
digitally.
Recordings
are
made
for
the
low,
medium
and
high
ranges
of
the
instrument.

a
recording
of
one
range
stops
and
the
recording
of
another
range
begins
is
called
the
split
point.
Whenever
you
are
using
a
digitally
sampled
tone,
you
are
actually
playing
back
the
digital
data
recorded
for
that
tone.

The
tonal
quality
and
volume
between
recorded
ranges
may
be
slightly
different.
You
may
notice
this
difference
when
you
play
two
notes
on
either
side
of
a
split
point.
This
is
normal
and
does
not
indicate
malfunction
of the
keyboard.
¢ The pitch of some tones may be unclear.
M Playing Song Bank tunes
This keyboard comes with 10 SONG BANK tunes built in. You can use these
song Bank tunes with the keyboard’s three lesson functions to learn how to
play keyboard.
With the DEMO function, you can listen to the tunes to see how each one is
played.
With ANY-KEY PLAY, you can practice your timing for playing the melody.
No matter what key you press, the correct melody note is played.
With MELODY GUIDE, the keys of the keyboard light up to tell you what
note you should play next.
As a further aid, a handy Melody Book is included with your keyboard.
mM To use the DEMO function
1. Slide the MODE switch to the DEMO setting.

left to right.
ANY KEY PLAY DEMO:

2. Press one of the far left keyboard keys to select the
Song Bank tune you want to play.
Example: To select MINUET, which is Song Bank
tune 1 on the ML-2.

e The MAGICAL LIGH keyboard lights to show you
the notes as they are played.
