  If your Craftsman Trimmer engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the fuel tank isn't empty; if it is, refill it with fresh fuel. Another reason could be insufficient priming; press the primer bulb 10 times or until fuel is visible. Old fuel (over 30 days) can also prevent starting, so drain the tank and add fresh fuel. A fouled spark plug may also be the culprit, in which case, replace it. Lastly, check that the cold weather start lever is in the open position.
