Mode of Operation
TheDaikinAuto-changeoverElectronicThermostatisatwo-stageheat,two-stagecoolthermostat.
Thethermostatactivatestherststageofheatingwhentheroomtemperatureisbelowtheheatset
temperature(bythedifferentialtemperature).Thesecondstageofheatingwillbeactivatedifthe
roomtemperaturecontinuestodrop.Theheatoutputsarestagedoff(congurable,setting7)asthe
roomtemperatureincreases.
Whentheroomtemperatureisgreaterthanthecoolsettemperature(bythedifferentialtemperature),
thecoolingdeviceisactivated.Thesecondstageofcoolingwillbeactivatediftheroomtemperature
continuestorise.Thecooloutputsarestagedoff(congurable,setting7)astheroomtemperature
drops.
Thethermostathasthefollowingoperatingmodes:OFF,Heat, CoolandAuto.InOFFmode,the
thermostatwillnotturnonheatingorcoolingdevices.IntheHeatmode,thethermostatcontrolsthe
heatingsystem.IntheCoolmode,thethermostatcontrolsthecoolingsystem.IntheAutomode,the
thermostatoperatesasanauto-changeoverthermostat.Itwillturnonheatingorcoolingasrequired.
TheindoorfancanbeturnedoninalloperatingmodesusingtheFanswitch.
Pressingthe and buttonssimultaneouslyfor2secondscausesthethermostattooutputfrom
the“O”terminalfor5seconds.“ ”willshowonthedisplay.Thiswillresultintheunitgoingintoa
nightset-backoverride.
Pressingthe and buttonssimultaneouslyfor10secondscausesthethermostattooutputfrom
the“O”terminalfor15seconds.“ ”willshowonthedisplay.Thiswillresultintheunitbeingreset.
Operating Modes
ThesearethepossibleoperatingmodesoftheDaikinAuto-changeoverElectronicThermostat.
Off Mode
Inoffmode,thethermostatwillnotturnontheheatingorcoolingappliances.
Note 1: The indoor fan can be activated in every mode by sliding the Auto/On fan switch to the On
position.
Note 2: Off mode is used to enter the configuration setup (by pressing SW5 and SW6
simultaneously for 5 seconds).
Cool Mode
Incoolmode,thethermostatcontrolsthecoolingsystem.
Heat Mode

Auto-changeover Mode
