Example
The following example shows the clear logging file command and
confirmation response.
console#clear logging file
Clear logging file [y/n]
description (Logging)
Use the description command in Logging mode to describe the SYSLOG
server.
Syntax
description description
• description — Sets the description of the syslog server. (Range: 1-64
characters.)
Default Configuration
This command has no default value.

User Guidelines
After entering the view corresponding to a specific syslog server, the
command can be executed to set the description of the server.
Example
The following example sets the syslog server description.
console(config-logging)#description "syslog server 1"
level
Use the level command in Logging mode to specify the severity level of
SYSLOG messages. To reset to the default value, use the no form of the
command.
