User manual SEFELEC 5x Series 31 v1.06
4.2.2. SAFETY OPTIMIZATION
In all cases, a safety loop used properly is the best protection.
The system of protection is ideal for the equipment under test and for the operator; it is inde-
pendent of the voltage applied and the current injected for measurement.
WARNING
Danger of electric shock!
Access to the device must be limited to personnel "informed about elec-
trical hazards".
We strongly advise against handling equipment under test (risk of faults
and electric shock).
A double safety loop is offered as the basic equipment.
WARNING
High voltage!
For dangerous voltages, signalling by a suitable Red/Green light (SEFO-
CO160 option) must be put in place.
EATON can provide, on request, a locking system implemented during the test to control a safe-
ty cage type CA001, CA002 (image below) or CA003 in order to make the tests in complete
safety.
