Troubleshooting the Update Procedure:
Problem: I tried updating my amp using an M-Audio Uno and Windows XP but am
having no luck.
Solution: Make sure you download and install the newest Uno Driver from the
M-Audio website. Make sure the Default MDI device is also set to "Out
USB Midi 1x1" on the Audio page of the Sounds and Audio Device
Properties section of the control panel.
Problem: I updated my amp but now the amp displays V 1.03.02 and my speaker is
now muted.
Solution: Your amp has only completed half of the update procedure caused by a
timing issue on some PC's. In order to finish the update procedure, follow
these steps:
1) Verify that the name of the zip file with the updater is
GDECUpdatePCA.zip
2) Unzip the file to wherever you would like
3) From the start menu select "Run"
4) From the run window, click browse and navigate and select the
GDECUpdate.exe
5) Click open on the browse window, and that window should close
returning you back to the run window
6) Now edit the open line by adding -F after the end of the
quotation marks. For example, some PCs will see the following in
the open window:
"C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\GDECUpdate.exe" -F
7) Click OK and the update utility should start up.
8) Follow the instructions of the update utility and the application
should state that the utility is updating the DSP, and the G-DEC
should state loading FX V03.
9) Once completed, the amp will reboot and it should be at
V 1.03.03
