Are the mobile device and the ScanSnap iX500 connected to the same
wirelessLAN?

Make sure that the Wi‐Fi switch at the backside of ScanSnap iX500 is “ON” and the
Wi‐Filampatthefrontsideislightingin“blue”.
IftheWi‐Filampislightinginorange,thewirelessaccesspointandScanSnapiX500are
notconnectedproperly.Check
thefollowingitems:
o Make the distance shorter between the ScanSnap iX500 and the wireless
accesspoint.
o ChangeanangleofScanSnapiX500.
o If there are any obstacles (wall, metal plate, etc.) and/or noise sources
(Microwa ve, cordless telephone, wireless devices, etc.) between ScanSnap
iX500andthewirelessaccesspoint,avoidorremovethem.
o ConnectScanSnapiX500toacomputerviaUSB,andeitherperformawireless
settingusing the ScanSnapWirelessSetupTool, or followthedirectionofthe
wirelessdiagnosisresult.
Close the ADF paper chute (cover) of ScanSnap iX500 to turn it off. Then, turn the
ScanSnapiX500onagain.
Turnon/offthewirelessaccesspointtoresetit.
Checkthenetworksettingofthemobiledevice.IftheScanSnapiX500isnotconnected
tothesamenetworkasthemobiledevice,connecttheScanSnapiX500tothenetwork
thatthemobiledeviceisconnectedto.
