INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR ROUTINES
The actions described in theses instructions are strictly reserved for AUTHORISED TECHNICAL SERVICES,
that has successfully completed training on the product by Girbau SA or a Girbau SA distributor.
The company responsible of the Authorised Technical service fully assumes liability for the intervention and
any possible consequences that may derive from it.
Any actions carried out by personnel who are unauthorized by the manufacturer will be considered to be
improper and will result in the automatic void of washer’s warranty.
The manufacturer will not accept responsibility for any physical and/or material damage caused by actions
taken by unauthorized personnel.
Compliance with the safety warnings listed in the Installation Manual is obligatory. Read them before
servicing the washer.
Avoid carrying out any course of action on the machine without having first carefully read the washer’s
installation and operating manuals, paying special attention to the Safety Instructions.
Making inspection routines, adjustments, maintenance, repairs, cleaning or any works on the machines
without taking safety measures or having the necessary technical competence can cause ELECTRICAL
SHOCK OR SERIOUS ACCIDENTS. Carefully read the warnings given to avoid possible risks on section
1.2.
BEFORE ANY inspection routine, adjustment, maintenance, repairs, cleaning or any works on the machine
SEPARATE ALL THE ENERGY SOURCES:
- COMPLETELY disconnect the machine from power supply and check for accidental reconnection by
mechanically locking the automatic external switch and / or the switch disconnector. Stopping the
machine with the NORMAL STOP push-button is not enough.
- Disconnect the electrical connection from the external dosing to the washer. These circuits are
independent of the supply to the washer.
- Wait a minimum of (5) five minutes after disconnection to ensure the elimination of residual voltage from
the machine.
- Close and mechanically interlock the manual WATER, GAS, STEAM, THERMAL OIL, COMPRESSED
AIR, etc. supply valves.
- Check that the water bath has COMPLETELY drained, parts have cooled down and that no pieces are
in movement through inertia.
DANGER! Some fault localisation procedures require to check different points of the electric circuit with the
machine connected to the power supply and other supply sources. During the execution of these
interventions respect the following instructions:
- The appropriate checkings must be carried out by ONLY ONE PERSON.
- During these interventions, ONLY disassemble the electric circuit and/or the inverter cover. Never
disassemble the covers of the moving parts of the machine.
