ADD LUBRICANT
AND FUEL
(a) Move generator
ouside to a at, level
surface.
(b) Remove oil cap/dipstick.
(c) Use a funnel to pour the supplied
lubricant into the engine. Fill to the
upper mark of the oil dipstick. Use
caution to avoid spilling.
(d) Replace oil cap/dipstick.
(e) Remove fuel cap and ll with
REGULAR UNLEADED fuel. Do
not overll. Keep maximum fuel
level 1 inch below the top of the fuel
tank.
(f) Replace fuel cap.

UNPACK GENERATOR
(a) Do not attempt to lift generator out of the carton. Cut each corner of the
carton to open and lay carton at.
(b) Prior to assembly check to ensure you have all the included items.

BASIC ASSEMBLY
(a) Move generator to a at, level surface.
(b) If desired, install feet, wheels, and handle with enclosed
hardware. See pages 11-12 of the operator’s manual for
instructions.

MOVE GENERATOR TO SAFE
OPERATING LOCATION
(a) Move generator outside to a at, level surface, away
from doors, windows and vents.

START GENERATOR
(a) Turn fuel valve under tank to the ON position.
(b) Select the ON position on the engine switch.
(c) Pull choke out.
(d) Start generator by slowly pulling on the recoil starter grip
until resistance is felt. Then pull cord rapidly to overcome
compression to start engine.
(e) Push choke in.

USING GENERATOR
(a) With generator running, power is now provided to the receptacles.
(b) Allow generator to warm up for 3 to 5 minutes, then plug in items to be
powered, using only grounded extension cords.
WARNING: DO NOT overload generator or electrical cords.

SHUT DOWN AND STORAGE
PROCEDURES
(a) Before shutting engine off, unplug all electrical loads.
(b) Let engine run for 2 minutes.
(c) Turn engine switch to OFF.
(d) Turn fuel valve to OFF.
(e) If generator is to be stored for longer than 30 days, refer to the
operator’s manual for further instructions.
