It is included, as needed, according to the computer model in which
the hard drive is compatible.

Some computer models will have color-coded SATA connectors on
the system board. These connectors establish the primary and
secondary SATA controllers and determine the boot priority of each
SATA hard drive. Connect the SATA data cable to the appropriate
color-coded SATA connector on the system board.

Workstation Cable Configurations
If you are connecting SATA hard drives to an HP Workstation with a
RAID card configuration, consult the Service and Technical
Reference Guide for detailed installation instructions. This guide is
available on www.hp.com/support/workstation_manuals
.
Use the cable and cable orientation that fits best and consider the
following guidelines:
• If you are plugging into an add-in card that came with a
cable, use that cable.
• Any cable that physically fits will work; electrically it does not
matter which cable you use or which end is plugged into the
system board.
• If you have a long PCI card installed and you are plugging
into the system board, select a cable and orientation that does
not interfere with the PCI card.
