GENERAL
If the button marking on the keypad is in black, push to
activate. For secondary functions, first push O and then the
desired green-marked button.
VOR NAVIGATION (for A24 only)
When entering the NAV band, 108.000–117.975 MHz, the
A24 automatically selects the DVOR mode
• FLYING TO A VOR STATION
Select a VOR station on your aeronautical char
t and use the
keypad or rotate the big dial to set the frequency of the station
Push O, then push [TO] or [FROM] depending if you are flying
to or from a station
– The [ ]flag indicators will appear on screen
• TO SELECT CDI MODE
Push O, then push [CDI]
– Set the desired course to the VOR station by rotating the
big dial or using the keypad
– The number of degrees “TO” or “FROM” a beacon is
displayed at the bottom of the screen
– “
4” and “3” are course deviation arrows that appear at the
bottom of the display
– Each arrow indicates a two-degree course deviation
– “OF˙” appears on the screen when the desired VOR signal
cannot be received
• TO CORRECT YOUR COURSE
“
4” and “3” indicate your aircraft is off course to the right
or left, respectively
Correct your course until “
4” and “3” disappear
• EXIT CDI MODE
Push O, then push [DVOR]
FREQUENCIES/CHANNELS NOTES
EMERGENCY
Push and hold the red button until [121.5] appears on
the screen to select the emergency frequency;
“121.5” MHz will appear on the screen.
