6 FRONT AXLE
Spiral Bevel Pinion Shaft and Differential Gear Assembly
1.
Take out the differential yoke shaft
(3),
(5).
2.
Remove the oil seal (1).
3.
Remove the internal snap ring
(2).
4.
Tap out the spiral bevel pinion shaft
(7)
by
the brass
rod
and
hammer.
5.
Take out the differential gear assembly
(8),
from right side of
front axle case (4).
6.
Remove the stake
of
lock nut (10), and then remove the lock nut
(10).
7.
Remove the taper roller bearings
(9).
(When reassembling)
• Apply gear oil to the taper roller bearings
(9)
and
install them
correctly, noting their direction.
• Replace the lock nut (10) and oil seal (1) with new ones.
• After tighten the lock nut (10) to the specified torque, stake it
firmly.
• Install the adjusting collars
(6)
to their original position.
