8.1.11 Modular machine conguraon
The modular machine conguraon can be used from release 3.10 onwards!
The modular machine conguraon enables only one project to be used for all machine
variants (maximum conguraon).
8.1.11.1 Behavior of the EtherCAT master
When the modular machine conguraon is used, the EtherCAT master behavior diers from
the behavior known so far:

As soon as one of the funcon blocks L_ETC_MMCController or L_ETC_MMCControllerBus
is instanced in the PLC applicaon, the EtherCAT master waits with boong the bus.

Via the funcon blocks L_ETC_MMCController and L_ETC_MMCControllerBus, a service
has to be dened that determines the operang mode of the master.
•
For one, based on a conguraon, the EtherCAT bus can be set to the "Operaonal" state.
Furthermore, a "Second Staon Address" (alias address) can be assigned to the EtherCAT
slaves.
The funcon blocks L_ETC_MMCController and L_ETC_MMCControllerBus may
only be instanced once within the PLC applicaon.
The conguraon is only checked while the EtherCAT master is boong. If slaves
are removed or added during operaon, respecve checks have to be carried
out by the PLC applicaon.
