DTC: 904212
BATTERY OUT OF RANGE
SRSM
NOTE:
This procedure will eliminate the following failure conditions:
Battery voltage out of range.
Test
Result/Action
CHECK THE DTC
SRSM1
Yes->
GO to SRSM2
No->
No action required.
Turn the Ignition key to OFF position.
Turn the Ignition key to ON position.
Clear the DTC.
Turn the Ignition key to OFF position.
Turn the Ignition key to ON position.
Check the DTC.
Is DTC 904212 still present?
CHECK THE BATTERY VOLTAGE
SRSM2 Yes->
No fault found.
No->
Fault found. Visually check for loose
connection in battery terminals and Airbag
module connector. If no fault is found in the
circuit, suspect the following component(s):
a) Battery
b) Charging system
Measure the voltage between:
(+) Red Probe of Multimeter
Vehicle Battery
(-) Black Probe of Multimeter
Vehicle Battery
Positive terminal
Negative terminal
Is the voltage between 11 to 15 V?
