Figure 4 - Signal boosters (amplifiers) typically come in 1 to 8 port configurations in all different manufactures and
models. What you want to look for is one that is compatible with standard and digital cable TV services.
It’s recommended that an amplifier is installed where the signal is coming into the building if the signal is weak. If a
club is running long runs of cable and using splitters to each unit, additional amplifiers can be installed BEFORE each
splitter to increase the signal. The one variance to this is if the signal coming into the building has a high noise to
signal ratio, installing an amplifier will only amplify the noise and the signal making it worse. To check for noise, you
must contact your cable provider.
