Fold release lever 1 up as far as it will go.

Check and make sure that the steering col‐
umn is locked by moving the steering wheel.
Adjusting the steering wheel electrically

WARNING Risk of injury if vehicle set‐
tings are adjusted while the vehicle is in
motion
You could lose control of the vehicle in par‐
ticular in the following situations:

If you adjust the driver's seat, the head
restraints, the steering wheel or the mir‐
ror while the vehicle is in motion.
R
If you fasten your seat belt while the vehi‐
cle is in motion.

Before starting the engine: adjust the
driver's seat, head restraints, steering
wheel and mirror in particular and fas‐
ten your seat belt.

WARNING Risk of entrapment for chil‐
dren when adjusting the steering wheel
Children could injure themselves if they
adjust the steering wheel.
#
Never leave children unattended in the
vehicle.
#
When leaving the vehicle, always take
the key with you and lock the vehicle.
The steering wheel can be adjusted when the
power supply is disconnected.
