Setting up Email
1. From the main menu go to settings and select
2. Highlight and select configuration
3. Scroll to and select personal configuration settings
4. Press the options key then scroll to and select add new
5. Highlight and select email
6. Select account name and enter desired account name e.g. Vodafone email
7. Select my name and enter name e.g. John Smith
8. Select email address and enter email address
9. Highlight and choose SMTP secure login set to disabled
10. Scroll to and select SMTP username and enter account username e.g. John.Smith
11. Scroll to password, select and then enter password for the account, then confirm the
password by re entering it
12. Highlight and select outgoing server then enter
your outgoing mail server address

Scroll to and select outgoing SMTP port then enter 25
14. Highlight and select use preferred access point and select no
15. On define access point press ok
16. Scroll to proxy and select, then scroll to and select disabled
17. Scroll to data bearer, select then highlight and choose GPRS
18. Scroll to and select GPRS access point and enter
For Contract customers: internet
For PayT: pp.vodafone.co.uk
19. Select authentication type and set to “normal”
20. Scroll to and select username then enter “web”
21. Scroll to password and enter “web” confirm password by re-entering “web”
22. Press back twice
23. Scroll to incoming server type and choose pop3
or imap4

Highlight and select incoming mail settings
25. Scroll to pop3 secure login and set to disabled
26. Select pop3/imap4 user name and enter account username e.g. John.Smith
27. Select pop3/imap4 password and enter account password ******** then re-enter to
confirm password
