12-Second Voice Memo Keychain Recorder
Your RadioShack 12-Second Voice Memo
Keychain Recorder is compact and easy-to-
use. You can record messages and play
them back at work, school, or almost any-
where.
RECORDING A MESSAGE
1. Set
REC/PLAY/
LOCK
to
REC
.
2. To begin record-
ing, hold down
REC/PLAY
. The
record indicator
lights.
3. Speak into the
microphone,
holding it about 4
inches away
from you. You
can record for up
to 12 seconds.
4. Release
REC/PLAY
to stop recording.
The record indicator turns off.
Note:
When you have recorded for 12
seconds, the recorder automatically
stops recording and the record indicator
turns off.
5. Set
REC/PLAY/LOCK
switch to
LOCK.
Repeat these steps to record another mes-
sage.
Note:
Once you have recorded for 12 sec-
onds and played back the current messages,
the only way to record new messages is to
record over the old ones.
PLAYING MESSAGES
1. Set
REC/PLAY/LOCK
to
PLAY
and press
REC/PLAY
.
2. When playback is finished, set
REC/
PLAY/LOCK
to
LOCK.
REPLACING THE
BATTERIES
Your recorder requires four button-cell bat-
teries (supplied) to power the recorder.
If the sound becomes weak or distorted, or it
stops operating properly, replace the batter-
ies. The messages remain stored in memory
even if the batteries are dead or removed.
Warnings:
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and
properly. Do not burn or bury them.
• Keep button-cell batteries away from
children. Swallowing a button-cell bat-
tery can be fatal.
Caution:
Use only fresh batteries of the re-
quired size and recommended type.
1. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to
loosen the battery compartment cover’s
screw, then lift off the cover.
2. Remove the old batteries and install new
batteries in the compartment according
to the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked
inside.
3. Replace the battery compartment door
and tighten the screw to secure it.
