• Dust TV as required, using a soft
cloth or the dusting attachment for
your vacuum cleaner.
• Occasionally vacuum the ventilation
slots in the cabinet to assure
adequate ventilation.
• Take care not to scratch the plastic
surfaceg.
• Do not use cleaning solutions with
alcohol or ammonia on the plastic
or wood surfaces.
• To restore the original sparkle to
plastic surfaces, apply Glass Wax
with a soft cloth. A special anti-
static cleaning/polishing solution
(AH035) is available from your
RCA dealer.
Avoid using an oil-based furniture
polish on the cabinet since the
residue will accumulate more dust.
Turn the TV off before cleaning the
front.
Clean the face of the picture tube
occasionally with a soft cloth or
paper towel and a small quantity of
liquid glass cleaner. A special anti-
static cleaning/polishing solution
(AH035) is available from your
RCA dealer.
While cleaning, do not allow liquid
to run down the screen and inside
the instrument.
Avoid placing drinks or vases with
water on top of your TV.
If you suspect that liquid has
entered the TV, unplug it
immediately and have it inspected
by an RCA TV Servicenter.
Turning it off is not enough-your
TV and many other modern devices
have power applied to some circuits
even when the POWER switch is
turned off.
