Setting Up the DVD Recorder
The fi rst time you plug in your DVD Recorder, you’ll need to complete the initial setup.
The following is displayed on the front of the unit when you fi rst plug it in: HELLO, then PLS WAIT, and
fi nally INITIAL (the Initial Setup menu). It may take several seconds for the unit to display INITIAL. Please
be patient, this is normal. The DVD recorder’s Initial Setup menu also appears on your TV screen.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup. Keep in mind, your DVD recorder will not
allow any functionality until this is fi nished.
