DANGER
WARNING
CAUTION
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in
death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in
death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in
minor or moderate injury.
Hot water can be dangerous. There is a high scald potential if the thermostat is set
too high. Water temperatures over 125 °F (51 °C) can cause severe burns or scalding
resulting in death.
Hot water can cause first degree burns with exposure for as little as:
3 seconds at 140 °F (60 °C)
20 seconds at 130 °F (54 °C)
8 minutes at 120 °F (48 °C)
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING - Electric Shock Hazard! Assess the
unit periodically to ensure that the power cord
and extension cord are not damaged. Never cut
or splice the power cord of the multipurpose
hose sprayer nor modify an extension cord
utilized with the device.
WARNING - Electric Shock Hazard! Connect
only to a grounded outlet. If utilizing an
extension cord it must be a grounded type with
a 3 prong plug and must be plugged into a
grounded wall outlet.
WARNING - To reduce the risk of electric
shock, only an extension cord rated for 15
Amps (14 AWG at 50 feet or less), that is
approved for outdoor use may be utilized with
the unit. These will be marked with SW-A,
SOW-A, STW-A, STOW-A, SJW-A, SJTW-A, or
SJTOWA.
CAUTION - Refrain from submerging any part
of the multipurpose hose sprayer in standing
water.
CAUTION - The multipurpose hose sprayer is
not intended for use in freezing temperatures.
CAUTION - Drain all water from the unit before
storing the device.
CAUTION - Prior to plugging in the electrical
cord, purge all air out of the unit. To do this,
adjust the nozzle to a blue colored setting and
engage the trigger. As water flows air will begin
to sputter out of the device. Continue holding
the trigger and allowing the air to purge until
water consistently flows without sputter for 5
seconds.
WARNING - The nozzle is the only approved
replacement part for the multipurpose hose
sprayer. Under no circumstances should any
other part of the device be disassembled.
WARNING - Never direct a water stream
toward an electrical device.
WARNING - To reduce the risk of electrocution,
keep all connections dry and off the ground. Do
not touch plug with wet hands.
WARNING - Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter
(GFCI) protection should be provided on the
circuit(s) or outlet(s) to be used for the product.
Receptacles are available having built in GFCI
protection and may be used for this measure
of safety.

The following is a ground water temperature map of the United States. Ground water
estimations are subject to change. Ground water temperatures in the north are generally cool
and are – warmer in the south.
The impact of Ground water temperature and varied flow rates in achieving outgoing water
temperatures is noted in the table below. This sample is subject to change.
NOTE: Temperatures displayed in table are based on national averages, actual temperature may vary +/- 10°F.
