4) Gegenstand
Aufgrund des erhöhten Ölbedarfs des Turbomotor ist es notwendig, ein Ölpumpen-
gehäuse mit modifiziertem Ölzulauf (ø 7 mm auf ø 8,2 mm erhöht) zu verwenden.
Sämtlich nachfolgend angeführte Motoren sind umzurüsten.
5) Betreff
Alle Motoren der Type 914 UL von S/N 4,417.503 bis 4,417.556, S/N 4,417.558 und
alle Vorserien-Turbomotoren.
◆ HINWEIS: Die Vorserienmotoren sind daran zu erkennen, daß der Serien-
nummer ein "V" vorgesetzt ist. z.B. V914/4520.
6) Fristen
Der Austausch ist spätestens bei der nächsten 100 h-Kontrolle vorzunehmen.
7) Durchführung
Die Arbeiten sind entsprechend der nachstehend beschriebenen Arbeitsanweisung
durchzuführen.
8) Arbeitsanweisung
8.1) Vorbereitungen zum Umbau
Minuspol der Batterie abklemmen.
Öl ablassen und Ölfilter U abschrauben (100 h Kontrolle)
8.2) Ölpumpenanschlüsse entfernen
Ölschlauch vom Schlauchnippel O (Zulauf) abnehmen. Beide Hohlschrauben
K lösen und Dichtringe A abnehmen.
◆ HINWEIS: Die Saugölleitung H und der Ringschlauchnippel Jwerden
nicht entfernt.
Hohlschraube F entfernen und Dichtringe A abnehmen. Weiters die Distanz-
hülse S (Version UL 2/UL 4) abnehmen. Bei Version UL 3 wird die Druck-
ölleitung G zum Verstellregler nicht entfernt.
Druckölleitung D zum Turbolader ebenfalls nicht entfernen.
4) Subject
Because of the higher oil demand of the turbo engine it is necessary to use an oil
pump housing with an enlarged oil feed duct (Ø 7 increased to 8,2 dia.)
On all of the affected engines the oil pump housing must be exchanged.
5) Engines affected
All engines of Type 914 UL from S/N 4,417.503 to 4,417.556, S/N 4,417.558 and all
pre-production 914 turbo engines.
◆ NOTE: The pre-production engines can be recognized by the "V" in front of the
serial number. e.g. V914/4520.
6) Compliance
Exchange of the oil pump housing must take place during the next 100 hour check.
7) Accomplishment
Proceed in accordance with the following instructions.

8.1) Preparations for conversion
Disconnect minus pole of battery.
Drain oil and remove oil filter U (100 h check)
8.2) Detach oil pump connections
remove oil hose from hose nipple O feed line. Remove both banjo bolts K and
sealing rings A .
◆ NOTE: No need to remove oil suction line H and hose nippleJ.
Remove banjo bolt F and sealing rings A. On version UL 2/UL 4 remove also
the spacer S. On engine version UL 3 the oil pressure line G to the hydraulic
governor will not be removed, neither remove pressure oil line D to the turbo.
