WARNING:
Blade is extremely sharp, handle with care. The knife is not a toy and
should be kept out of the reach of children. This product should be
only used for intended purpose and not improperly such as chiseling,
ice picking, prying or applying force onto the back of the blade. Keep
blade away from ngers and body during use, opening and closing
blade. Always cut away from yourself and others, and make sure
blade lock is fully engaged before using. Improper use may result in
serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Do not use the knife while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while using the knife
may result in serious personal injury.
NOTICE:
Possession, carrying and transporting of this knife in some jurisdictions
may be illegal. It is your responsibility to know the federal, state and
local laws that may affect you.
INSTALLING/RETRACTING/REMOVING THE BLADE
See Figures 1 - 2.
The knife accepts standard-sized utility blades. Three blades are included
in the packaging, be careful not to discard.
To install:
Hold the knife in your right hand and the utility blade in the gloved left
hand. Keep ngers away from the cutting side of the blade.
NOTE: The notched side of the blade should be facing up towards
the tool.
Push the blade slide forward for blade installation.
Insert the blade into the knife until it stops. Ensure the blade is straight.
Press the blade lock button rmly. Carefully slide the blade fully into
the knife.
Release the blade lock button. The mechanism will click to secure.
Carefully pull the blade to ensure it is locked.
To retract:
Retract the blade by pushing the blade slide in and back.
NOTE: When not in use, the blade should be completely retracted.
To remove:
Extend the blade by pushing the blade slide.
Depress and hold the blade lock button.
Carefully remove the blade with your gloved hand.
STORING THE BLADES
See Figure 3.
The blade storage is in the handle. The blade storage stores up to 2 extra
blades.
Push the blade storage release tab to pivot the blade storage out.
Carefully insert the blade under the tab as shown until fully seated
in tray.
Repeat steps for additional blades.
Pivot the blade storage back into place to close.
NOTE: Keep ngers away from the blade when closing.
USING THE ADJUSTABLE CUTTING GUIDE
See Figures 4 - 7.
Loosen the adjustment knob to open the cutting guide.
NOTE: The angle guide is used to square up the cutting guide against
the material.
Align the angle guide against the edge of the material.
Adjust the guide to the desired angle and tighten the knob.
Place hand in designated area to secure guide prior to cutting.
NOTE: Always cut away from the body.
Score the material along the ruler’s edge with the knife. Repeat if
necessary.
Snap the material against the edge of the table.
NOTE: Practice on scrap material before cutting.
