Smart Travel Router Quick Setup Guide
A. SETUP WIRELESS CONNECTION SETUP
CABLE CONNECTION SETUP
To use the Smart Travel Router, fi rst plug it in to an
available wall outlet. The Router will automatically
begin broadcasting a network with the name
“Travel_WiFi-XXXX.” To fi nd your individual SSID, see
the side of the Router. Connect your computer to this
network; the default password is “12345678.”
If you select Wireless Connection, the Travel Router will
automatically scan for networks in your area. Select your
desired network, then click “next.” On the next screen
you will be asked to input the password of your selected
network; do so, then click “next.” The Travel Router will
restart, and will begin broadcasting the network name you
chose in Step 2 of Setup.
If you select Cable Connection, the Travel Router will
automatically restart and begin broadcasting the network
name you chose in Step 2 of Setup. Before selecting
Cable Connection, ensure you have an ethernet cable
connected from the Travel Router to your internet source.
Once your computer is connected to the Router’s
network, open your preferred internet browser and input
“192.168.16.254” in your address bar, then hit enter. You
should be greeted by the screen above. Before continuing,
you have the opportunity to change the Router’s network
name and password. Make any desired changes then
click “next.” You can reset to default by plugging the
Router into an outlet and pressing and holding the “Reset”
button on the Router for 10 seconds.
Next, you’ll be asked for the source of your internet
connection. Your selection here determines the mode of
your Router. Cable Connection is used for Router and
Access Point modes. Wireless Connection is used for
Repeater and Client modes. Make your selection, then
click “next.”
When using Cable Connection, connect an ethernet cable
from your internet source to the Travel Router’s LAN port
before clicking “next.”
