Also, filter or replace the titration solution if undissolved particles are present, and double-check that the valve hoses are correctly connected. Make sure the hose is immersed deeply enough in the reagent bottle; if not, immerse it further or add more reagents. Verify that the dosing unit is properly latched with a quarter rotation in the lower position. Check that the hose connections are tight, and if the hose has been pulled out of the threaded connection, fasten it fingertight, and consider replacing the hoses and screw connectors. If the valve is defective, replace it.

  If the SCHOTT Laboratory Equipment device isn't responding and the display is dark, it might be due to a disturbance in the internal program, possibly from electrostatic charging or mains overvoltage. Try switching the device off, and then switch it on again after 10 seconds. Also, the display contrast might be misadjusted. Use the knurled knob on the right side of the bottom to adjust the contrast.
