Attach
one
end
of
the
remaining
cable
to
the
negative
terminal
(black
color,
or
“N”)
of
the
booster
battery,
and
the
other
end
to
a
bare
metal
surface
on
the
frame
of
your
tractor
AWAY
FROM
the
battery
compartment
(do
not
connect
directly
to
negative
post
of
dead
battery).
Take
care
that
clamps
from
one
cable
do
not
inadvertently
touch
the
clamps
on
the
other
cable.
Do
not
lean
over
the
battery
when
making
this
connection.
7.
The
tractor
with
the
discharged
battery
should
now
start.
Reverse
the
jump
starting
procedure
exactly
to
remove
the
jumper
cables.
Then
reinstall
the
vent
caps
and
throw
the
cloths
away
as
they
may
have
corrosive
acid
on
them.
^^WARNING
Any
procedure
other
than
the
above
could
result
in:
(1)
personal
injury
caused
by
electrolyte
squirting
out
of
the
battery
vents,
(2)
personal
injury
or
property
damage
due
to
battery
explosion,
(3)
damage
to
the
charging
system
of
the
booster
vehicle
or
the
immobilized
vehicle.
Do
not
attempt
to
jump
start
a
vehicle
having
a
frozen
battery
because
the
battery
may
rupture
or
explode.
If
a
frozen
battery
is
suspected,
examine
all
fill
vents
of
the
battery.
If
ice
can
be
seen
or
if
the
electrolyte
fluid
cannot
be
seen,
do
not
attempt
to
start
with
jumper
cables
as
long
as
the
battery
remains
frozen.
