hubs offers easy access to an Ethernet
network. They’re plug and play, so there’s no configuration necessary.
And, the price is very affordable, so they’re the ideal choice for small
workgroups.
These standalone, 10BASE-T hubs feature SMC’s EtherEZ Watch
Indicator Panel with a comprehensive array of LEDs. There are
LEDs that display the link, traffic and partition status of each port.
There are also LEDs that display network utilization and collision
levels. These levels are monitored by an on-board microprocessor or
internal circuitry to simplify installation and troubleshooting. For
convenience, each hub also features a daisy-chain port so you can
easily cascade hubs as your network grows.
The compact, 5-port model includes a hub stand so you can mount
it on a wall or on a desktop in either an upright or flat position. The
8-port desktop model features a small form factor and bottom-panel
cutouts so you can also mount it directly on a wall in any position.
This model includes an additional BNC port with T-Connector for
connection to a thin coax backbone. The 16-port, rack-mountable
model includes brackets so you can mount it in a standard 19-inch
equipment rack. And, there are two additional ports (BNC and AUI)
and a BNC T-Connector for connection to a larger, distributed
topology network.
All three EtherEZ models are available with a choice of power
supplies or external line cords for the worldwide
