(1) P ull shifter boot down away from existing shift
knob.
(2) Un-screw and remove existing shift knob.

If the s hift knob is exces s ively heated/ cooled by air temperature and/ or s unlight,
toughing it may res ult in a s uperficial burn or fros tbite.
When s hifting under s uc h c onditions , we rec ommend wearing driving gloves or
waiting until the s hift knob reac hes a s uitable temperature.
