To the ‘DIGITAL INPUT”
terminal of the amplifier
[1] Optical-fiber cable (inctuded)
This cable can be used only with an amplifier having the
“DIGITAL INPUT” terminal. A dust-protection cap is inserted
in the “DIGITAL OUT/OPTICAL" terminal of this unit. Remove
this cap only when a connection is to be made to this terminal.
CAUTION
When using the optical-fiber cable, please keep the following points
in mind:
1. The maximum length of optical-fiber cable to be used with this
unit is 3 m (approx. 10 ft.).
2. Always make sure the plug is fully inserted. If the plug is not
inserted all the way, an imperfect connection will result.
3. The optical-fiber cable must never be bent or coiled tightly.
Doing so will permanently damage the optical-fiber in the cable
and, therefore, prevent proper data transmission. If the cable
must be coiled (for storage, etc.), the diameter of the loop
should be at least 15 cm (approx. 6 inches).
4. Handle the optical-fiber cable’s plug very carefully. Keep the
plug free from dust or damage. Dust can be removed by wiping
the plug with a soft cloth. Do not use any cleaners or solvents to
clean the plug.

This cable can be used only with a Technics graphic equalizer
or a tuner having the appropriate “REMOTE OUT" terminal.
L-type cable (included)
This cable can be used only with a Technics cassette deck
having the appropriate “CONTROL” terminal.
[4] “UNSWITCHED” outlet
Power is always available, regardless of power switch.
This outlet is exclusively for the connection of other audio
equipment, such as a cassette deck, etc. Be sure the power
consumption does not exceed the wattage specified near the
AC outlet.
AC power supply cord (included)
Note:
The configuration cf the AC outlet and AC power supply cord
differs according to area.
