Operation
Read and understand the following before using the trailer:
Note: Some attachments require tie down straps.
Danger
• If the tie down straps cannot hold 1600 pounds
or are damaged, the traction unit or
attachments could fall off of the trailer.
• If the attachment racks are damaged, the
attachments could fall off of the trailer.
• If the traction unit or an attachment falls off of
the trailer it could cause a traffic accident and
possibly kill or severely injure you or other
people.
• Use tie down straps that have a load rating of
1600 pounds or greater, in accordance with
federal regulation (DOT Title 49). Inspect the
tie down straps regularly to ensure that they are
in good condition. Do not use worn or damaged
tie down straps.
• Be careful when loading and unloading
attachments so that you do not damage the
attachment holder or the attachment. Inspect
the attachment holders regularly to ensure that
they are not showing signs of damage or wear.
If they are, replace or repair them before using
them.
• See your operator’s manual for load ratings and weight
distribution.
• Never extend loads beyond the frame – serious damage
or injury could result
• Know how to properly control your towing
vehicle/trailer combination on the highway under all
conditions. Remember the loaded weight of the trailer
will increase your braking and stopping distances
appreciably.
• You are responsible for determining the towing capacity
of your vehicle.
• Be certain all items are secured with pins or straps. Use
tie down straps that have a load rating of 1600 pounds
or greater, in accordance with federal regulation (DOT
Title 49). Inspect the tie down straps regularly to ensure
that they are in good condition. Do not use worn or
damaged tie down straps.
• Clean off attachments prior to loading onto attachment
holders. Keep trailer, and attachment holders clean of
loose debris that could fall off during transport causing
a hazard.
• Use proper loading and unloading procedures and
sequences for each attachment. Read manuals and
follow instructions provided with each attachment,
attachment holder and trailer.
• When installing an attachment onto an attachment
holder;
Position and gently lower the attachment onto the
attachment holder
• Disconnect the hydraulic hoses on the hydraulic
powered attachments
• Position and secure the hydraulic hoses onto the
attachment/attachment holder to prevent damage to the
hoses.
• Unlatch the Dingo quick–tach plate locking pins
Slowly back the Dingo away from the attachment while
tilting the Dingo quick–tach to allow disengagement
from the attachment.
• Secure the attachment to the attachment holder with
proper tie–down straps and or install the attachment
holder’s locking pin(s).
• On the auger drive attachment, the auger drive holder’s
locking pin must be installed to secure the auger drive
head into the holder prior to backing the Dingo away
from the auger drive head.
• When removing an attachment from an attachment
holder, reverse the above procedure and use the
recommended procedure (from the attachment manuals)
for connecting the hydraulic hoses/couplers.
