Fast VFO
Press F/W then rotate dial in 1Mhz steps
Set CTCSS / DCS Tone Mode
Press F/W, press Key 1, Rotate Dial to select TONE, press PTT to save setting.
Press F/W then Key 2, Rotate Dial to select tone frequency if known.
To find the correct CTCSS tone
Press F/W (function key on), Key 2, Press & Hold VFO Scan ▲ Up / ▼Dn for 1 second, this scans for
the tone, (if it doesn’t stop try the input frequency) Press F/W to select, then F/W to exit function key
mode. (Ensure TONE is selected (F/W + 1 + rotate Dial)
To set AM or FM Mode
Press F/W then key 0 (Set Mode), Rotate Dial to Item 40 (RX MOD), Press F/W, Rotate Dial for Auto,
FM or AM, Press PTT to save & exit Set Mode
To set Home Channel (per band)
Press F/W then key 0 (Set Mode), Rotate Dial to 36 (Rev/Home), Press F/W, Rotate Dial for Home,
Press PTT to save & exit Set Mode
Select frequency, Press & Hold F/W for 1 second, Press HM/RV.
To store a Memory Channel
Select frequency, Press & hold F/W for 1 second, Rotate Dial to select memory channel, press F/W.
To recall a Memory Channel
Press V/M, Rotate Dial to desired channel (or type in memory number), Press V/M
Set Programmable Memory Scan
Band Limits
Select lower frequency, press & hold F/W for 1 second, Rotate Dial to select memory #L01 - #L50,
press F/W to save, select upper frequency, store this to #U01-#U50.
PMS Scan Mode
Press & hold Band, Rotate Dial for PMS # (# = PMS pair selected earlier), press Band. Press & hold
V/M
To set Dual Watch
In VFO Mode, recall a memory channel to ‘watch’, Press V/M to return to VFO mode,
In Memory Mode, store the frequency to ‘watch’ in memory channel 1.
Press F/W then V/M to enable / disable Dual Watch Mode
Setup Smart Search
Activate Smart Search
Press F/W then key 0 (Set Mode), Rotate Dial to 42 (S SRCH), Press F/W then rotate Dial to select
Single or Continuous, Press PTT to save & exit Set Mode.
Press & hold key 3 Depending on mode set above up to 15 active channels above & below current
frequency are loaded into memory channels. Rotate Dial to select any of these memories.
Press V/M to enter normal VFO mode.
