C1 C1 200
Engine oil
Brand-name HD oil, API classification SF, SG or SH; the suffixes
CD or CE are permitted; or brand-name HD oil of
CCMC classification G4 or G5; the suffix PD2 is permitted.
The viscosity class depends on outside temperatures.
Temperatures above or below the limits quoted for the individ-
ual SAE classifications are permitted for brief periods only.
If temperatures under 10°C persist for lengthy periods (win-
ter operation) use SAE 5 W-40 engine oil.
Special Oils are approved individually by BMW AG and are
available from your authorised BMW dealer.
All engine oils supplied by BMW are subjected to regular BMW
quality assurance checks.
BMW does not approve the use of any upper-cylinder lubricants
or similar oil additives.

Maximum oil consumption 0.1 l/1,000 km
