Front brake
Maintenance work:
䉯 Replace brake pads, clean brake pad contact
points in calipers.
䉯 Brake discs: Check surface and thickness, if
necessary replace at extra charge*.
Rear brake
Maintenance work:
䉯 Replace brake pads, clean brake pad contact
points in calipers.
䉯 Brake discs: Check surface and thickness, if
necessary replace at extra charge*.
䉯 Parking brake: Check condition and brake
lining thickness, if necessary replace at extra
charge*.
*Unless covered by Maintenance Program.
Vehicle check
Maintenance work:
䉯 Check operation of horn, headlight flasher and
hazard warning flashers.
䉯 Check instrument and control lighting and
heater/air-conditioning blower.
䉯 Check lighting system: turn signals, back-up,
license plate, interior (incl. map, reading
lights), glovebox, luggage area lights.
䉯 Safety belts: Check condition and function.
䉯 Check windshield wipers and washer jet
positions.
䉯 Tires: Check tread depth, wear pattern, outer
condition, inflation pressure (also spare tire). If
necessary, correct pressure (also spare).
䉯 Reset Tire Pressure Monitor.
䉯 12V Battery: Check state of charge (magic
eye) and charge if required.
䉯 Power steering reservoir: Check fluid level.
䉯 Visually inspect all SRS airbag units for torn
covers, obvious damage or attachment of
stickers.
䉯 Rear-view mirrors, optional rear-view camera.
䉯 Engine coolant: Check fluid level and
concentration.
䉯 Windshield washer and intensive cleaning
system: Check protection level, fluid level, top
if necessary.
䉯 Brake system connections and lines: Check
for leaks, damage and correct positioning.
䉯 Underbody, incl. all visible parts (i.e.,
transmission, rear axle, fuel lines, exhaust
system), check for damage, leaks and
corrosion.
䉯 Steering components: Check for clearance,
leaks, damage and wear.
䉯 Final Inspection: Road test with check of
–Brakes
– Steering
– Shock absorbers (visual)
– Transmission
Brake fluid
Maintenance work:
䉯 Replace brake fluid.
Spark plugs (not shown in CBS)*
Maintenance work:
䉯 All models replace spark plugs at intervals of
60,000 miles or at every 4th Engine Oil
Service.
*Not applicable for X5 xDrive35d.
