Using the grass catcher (Art. No.
77030) saves you having to rake
the grass cuttings together after
mowing. The grass catcher can
be supplied by your dealer.
The grass catcher functions best
when the lawn is dry and you
push the mower at a quick walking
pace.
7. Mowing with the grass catcher (Fig. Q)
After use, clean the mower and
oil lightly. Grease the cutters.
The symbols in Figure P indicate
which parts of the hand lawn
mower can be lightly oiled
(SAE 30) or greased .
Store the mower in a dry place.
The models with contact-free cut-
ting technology (Comfort and Luxus)
cannot be sharpened because of
the special cutting geometry. If
necessary the bottom blade and
the blade roller must be replaced
with a new complete set. Please
ask your specialist dealer who
will be happy to assist you.
The hand lawnmower must only
be repaired and the blade must
only be replaced at qualified
workshops.
Where possible, have your mower
inspected in autumn, so that it is
ready for immediate use in the
following spring.

This applies analogously for exten-
sion parts and accessories.
6. Cleaning, storage and maintenance (Fig. P)
Before leaving our factory, the
blades of your new hand mower
were set optimally. If the cut be-
comes uneven after long use,
correct the bottom blade setting.
Slide the enclosed gauge (13) on
the left-hand side between a cutter
of the cutter roller and the bottom
blade.
Use a 10 mm open-end spanner
to turn the hexagonal screw (14)
to the right until the gauge just
touches. Repeat this procedure on
the right-hand side of the mower.
Now rotate the cutter roller to
test this setting: it should not come
into contact with any of the cutters
on the bottom blade.
A Attention:
Take extra care when working
on the cutters (danger of injury).
4. Resetting the blades (Fig. N)
After you have reset the cutters,
make a test cut using newspaper.
