HOW TO DELETE THE MOVIE FUNCTION
■ Outline
The license issue has made it necessary to delete the movie function from models for North America.
Following is the procedure using the ADJ tool.
■ Deleting the movie function
1) Read the ADJ data.
Enter the TEST mode.
Perform the [3.USB TCC TEST] and [1.USB TCC ON] to enter the USB test mode.
Turn the power off.
Set the camera to the cradle and connect it to the PC by the USB cable.
Turn the power on.
Boot the ADJ Tool, "adj03natsu.exe".
Click "ADJ ALL READ".
2) Find the item [Movie Mode] in ADJ ITEM.
3) Input “1” as the DATA value of the [Movie Mode], and
then write the ADJ data into the camera.
* Inputting “0” recovers the movie functions.
Turn the power off.
4) Remove the camera from the cradle and turn the power
on.
5) Perform [11:LAST MEMORY] to reset the camera to its
factory default.
6) Perform [3:USB TCC TEST] and [2:USB TCC OFF] to
reset the USB test mode.
7) Turn the power off, and then on again.
8) Confirm that the REC mode menu does not show “Movie”
and that the recording mode is in the snapshot mode.
