Remove the engine cover for access to the engine oil fill
cap as follows:
1. Undo the screw in the middle of the cover.
2. Pop the cover off of the stud on the driver’s side.
3. Angle the cover up and pull it off of the bracket.
4. Reverse above steps to reinstall the cover.
What Kind of Engine Oil to Use
Except Vehicles with 6.0L V8 (VIN Code H)
Engine
Look for two things:
• GM6094M
Your vehicle’s engine requires oil meeting
GM Standard GM6094M. You should look for and
use only an oil that meets GM Standard GM6094M.
