Design Criteria
There are several use cases and target industries where you can use the Cisco UCS and Cloudian SDS solution.
The use cases and industries are several, but not limited to the following (Table 1 ).

The following sections describe some considerations for the design of the Infrastructure and the Cloudian
HyperStore.
Requirements
The requirements for the storage have to be understood for the design. These may include the total usable
space, future expansion and organic growth for the capacity of the cluster, the performance of the cluster in
terms of throughput and bandwidth, the average block size of IO, single site, multi-domain or multi-site
requirements, and so on.
