❐ The steam cleaner should be descaled with a standard commercial descaling agent rough-
ly every 6 months in order to extend the useful life of the steam cleaner. Also note the
manufacturer's instructions on the packaging of the descaling agent.
❐ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning. These can
damage the surface.
• Empty the water reservoir (see the "Putting Into Operation" chapter, "Adding/Removing
Water" section).
• If necessary, wipe down the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry
it with a soft cloth.
• Clean the attachments if necessary with clear, warm water.
• Allow all device and accessory parts to dry completely before you store them in a clean
and dry place that is inaccessible to children.
Troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check fi rst of all whether you can rectify a problem
yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department. Do not attempt to
repair a defective device yourself!
Problem Possible cause/solution
The device does not
work. /No steam is
produced.
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted into the socket?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try a different socket and check the
fuse of your mains connection.
• Make sure that the water reservoir has been fi lled.
• The device has not yet reached its operating temperature. Wait
until the control lamp has gone out and then press the steam
release button.
• The pipes of the device are not yet completely fi lled with steam.
Press the steam release button several times until steam emerg-
es.
