Removal and Replacement Procedures
1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3).
2. Turn the notebook bottom side up with the rear panel facing
forward.
3. Remove the PM2.0 × 5.0 screw 1 that secures the memory
expansion compartment cover to the base enclosure
(Figure 5-8).
4. Lift the front edge of the cover and swing it back 2.

Memory expansion compartment covers are available with
silver finish for Presario 2800 models and carbon finish for
Evo Notebook N800c, N800v, and N800w models. These covers
are included in the Miscellaneous Plastics/Hardware Kit, spare
part number 285261-001 for Presario 2800 models, and spare part
number 286868-001 for Evo Notebook N800c, N800v, and
N800w models.
