Why Cub Cadet FT 24 engine fails to start?
- WWilliam WilsonJul 31, 2025
The Cub Cadet Lawn and Garden Equipment engine might fail to start due to several reasons: * The fuel tank is empty or contains stale fuel. In this case, fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. * The throttle control lever is not in the correct starting position, if equipped. Move the throttle lever to the start position. * The fuel line is blocked. Clean the fuel line. * The air cleaner is dirty. Refer to the Engine Operator’s Manual. * The choke is not in the ON position. Move the switch to the ON position. * The spark plug wire is disconnected. Connect the wire to the spark plug. * The spark plug is faulty. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace the spark plug. * The engine is flooded. Refer to the Engine Operator’s Manual.
