YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardand MTDConsumerGroupInc.arepleasedto explaintheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour2007lawnmower.
InCalifornia,newlawnmowermustbedesigned,builtandequippedto meetthe State'sstringentanti-smogstandards.MTDConsumerGroupInc.mustwarrantthe
EECSonyourlawn mowerforthe periodoftimelistedbelowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglectorimpropermaintenanceofyourlawnmower.
YourEECSmayincludepartssuchasthe carburetor,fuel-injectionsystem,theignitionsystem,catalyticconverter,fueltanks,fuel lines,fuelcaps,valves,canisters,
filters,vaporhoses,clamps,connectors,and otherassociatedemission-relatedcomponents.
Wherea warrantableconditionexists,MTDConsumerGroupInc.will repairyourlawnmoweratnocostto youincludingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY COVERAGE:
Thisevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemis warrantedfortwoyears.Ifanyevaporativeemission-relatedpartonyourequipmentisdefective,the partwill berepairedor
replacedby MTDConsumerGroupInc.
OWNER'S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asthelawnmowerowner,youareresponsiblefor performanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourowner'smanual.MTDConsumerGroupInc.recommendsthat
youretainall receiptscoveringmaintenanceon yourlawnmower,butMTDConsumerGroupInc.cannotdenywarrantysolelyforthe lackof receipts.
Asthe lawnmowerowner,youshouldhoweverbeawarethatMTDConsumerGroupInc.maydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyourlawnmoweror a part hasfaileddue
toabuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodifications.
Youareresponsiblefor presentingyourlawnmowertoMTDConsumerGroupInc.'sdistributioncenteror servicecenteras soonasthe problemexists.Thewarranty
repairsshouldbecompletedin a reasonableamountoftime,notto exceed30days.Ifyouhavea questionregardingyourwarrantycoverage,youshouldcontactyour
localCubCadetdealer.Toreachthe MTDConsumerGroupInc.ServiceDepartment,pleasecall(800)800-7310.
GENERAL EMISSIONS WARRANTY COVERAGE:
MTDConsumerGroupInc.warrantstothe ultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthatthe lawnmoweris:Designed,builtandequippedsoastoconform
withallapplicableregulations;andfreefromdefectsin materialsandworkmanshipthat causethe failureofa warrantedpartto be identicalinall materialrespectsto
thatpartas describedin MTDConsumerGroupInc.'sapplicationfor certification.
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthe datethe lawnmoweris deliveredto anultimatepurchaseror firstplacedintoservice.Thewarrantyperiodistwo years.
Subjectto certainconditionsand exclusionsas statedbelow,the warrantyonemission-relatedpartsis asfollows:
1. Anywarrantedpart that isnotscheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenanceinthe writteninstructionssupplied,is warrantedforthe warrantyperiodstated
above.Ifthe partfailsduringthe periodof warrantycoverage,the part willberepairedorreplacedby MTDConsumerGroupInc.accordingto subsection(4)below.
Anysuchpartrepairedor replacedunderwarrantywill bewarrantedforthe remainderof the period.
2. Anywarrantedpartthat is scheduledonlyfor regularinspectioninthewritteninstructionssuppliedis warrantedforthe warrantyperiodstatedabove.Anysuchpart
repairedor replacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedforthe remainingwarrantyperiod.
3. Anywarrantedpartthat is scheduledfor replacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssuppliediswarrantedforthe periodoftime beforethefirst
scheduledreplacementdateforthat part.Ifthe partfailsbeforethe firstscheduledreplacement,the part willberepairedorreplacedbyMTDConsumerGroupInc.
accordingtosubsection(4)below.Anysuchpart repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill bewarrantedfor theremainderofthe periodpriortothefirst scheduled
replacementpointfor thepart.
4. Repairorreplacementof anywarrantedpartunderthe warrantyprovisionshereinmustbe performedat a warrantystationat nochargeto the owner.
5. Notwithstandingtheprovisionsherein,warrantyservicesorrepairswillbeprovidedat allof ourdistributioncentersthatarefranchisedto servicethesubjectengines
orequipment.
6. Thelawnmowerownerwillnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborthat isdirectlyassociatedwith diagnosisofa defective,emission-relatedwarrantedpart,provided
thatsuchdiagnosticworkisperformedata warrantystation.
7. MTDConsumerGroupInc.is liablefor damagesto otherengineorequipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedby a failureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.
8. Throughoutthe lawnmowerwarrantyperiodstatedabove,MTDConsumerGroupInc.willmaintaina supplyofwarrantedpartssufficientto meettheexpectedde-
mandfor suchparts.
9. Anyreplacementpart maybeusedinthe performanceofanywarrantymaintenanceor repairsand mustbeprovidedwithoutchargeto the owner.Suchusewillnot
reducethe warrantyobligationsofMTDConsumerGroupInc.
10.Add-onor modifiedpartsthat arenotexemptedbytheAir ResourcesBoardmaynotbeused.Theuseofanynon-exemptedadd-onormodifiedpartsbythe ultimate
purchaserwillbegroundsfor disallowinga warrantyclaims.MTDConsumerGroupInc.willnot beliableto warrantfailuresofwarrantedpartscausedbythe useof
a non-exemptedadd-onor modifiedpart.
WARRANTED PARTS:
Therepairor replacementof anywarrantedpartotherwiseeligiblefor warrantycoveragemaybeexcludedfromsuchwarrantycoverageif MTDConsumerGroupInc.
demonstratesthatthe lawnmowerhasbeenabused,neglected,orimproperlymaintained,andthatsuchabuse,neglect,or impropermaintenancewasthedirectcause
oftheneedforrepairor replacementof the part.Thatnotwithstanding,anyadjustmentof a componentthat hasa factoryinstalled,andproperlyoperating,adjustment
limitingdeviceisstill eligiblefor warrantycoverage.Thefollowingemissionwarrantypartslistare covered:FuelLine, FuelLineClamps
