- Cooling Capacity: Ranges from 7,000 BTU/h (MSQ4I-07HRIN1) to 18,000 BTU/h (MSQ4I-18HRIN1).

Usage Features
- Multi-Unit Connectivity: The outdoor unit M4OA-27HRIN1 can connect two, three, or four indoor units. However, the total indoor unit nominal capacity should not exceed 11.3kW (42% more than nominal capacity).
- Indoor Unit Configuration Restrictions:
- No more than one 18k indoor unit (cassette or duct) is allowed, with other indoor units being 7k.
- No more than two duct indoor units are allowed, with other indoor units being wall-mounted.
- Only one cassette unit is permitted.
- Cassette and duct units cannot be installed simultaneously.
- Cooling Mode: Features auto fan speed control based on the difference between room temperature and setting temperature. Anti-freezing control for the indoor evaporator turns the compressor off if the evaporator temperature drops below 4°C and on if it rises above 8°C.
- Dehumidifying Mode: The indoor fan is fixed at low speed. Includes low room temperature protection (fan stops below 10°C, restarts above 12°C) and anti-freezing function similar to cooling mode.
- Heating Mode: Indoor fan actions are controlled by an anti-cold wind function, adjusting fan speed based on indoor exchanger temperature to prevent cold drafts. Auto wind function also adjusts fan speed based on room temperature relative to the setting temperature. High-temperature protection for the indoor evaporator decreases compressor frequency if the exchanger temp is between 53°C and 63°C, and turns it off above 63°C.
- Defrost Operation: Initiates if the outdoor heat exchanger temperature is consecutively below -2°C for more than 40 minutes. Ends if defrost time reaches 10 minutes or outdoor heat exchanger temperature rises to 15°C. During defrost, the compressor runs, the 4-way valve switches off, the outdoor fan switches off, and the indoor fan runs according to the anti-cold wind function.
- Automatic Operation Mode: The air conditioner automatically selects cooling, heating, or fan-only mode based on the temperature difference between room temperature (TA) and set temperature (TS).
- Mode Conflict Management: Indoor units cannot operate in cooling and heating modes simultaneously. Heating mode has priority. If one indoor unit is set to heating and another to cooling or fan mode, the latter will switch to standby, and the outdoor unit will operate in heating mode.
- Manual Switch: Allows mode changes between Cooling, Auto, and Unit Off. In cooling mode, after 30 minutes of operation with low fan speed, the unit operates at a setting temperature of 24°C. In auto mode, it operates at a set temperature of 24°C.
- Timer Function: Allows setting operation times for up to 24 hours with 15-minute increments. Includes "Timer on," "Timer off," "Timer on/off," and "Timer off/on" functions.
- Auto Restart Function: In case of power failure, the unit automatically resumes previous settings when power returns.
Maintenance Features
- Electronic Control Functions: The manual outlines various protection mechanisms:
- Compressor Protection: 3-minute delay at restart, temperature protection (stops above 120°C, restarts below 105°C), current protection (stops above 25A), pre-heating function for cold outdoor temperatures.
- Voltage Protection: Stops operation if AC voltage ≥ 270V for 30 seconds, resumes if ≤ 260V for 30 seconds.
- Inverter Module Protection: Built-in protection against current, voltage, and temperature issues.
- Sensor Protection: Detects open circuits and disconnections.
- Fan Speed Control: Stops operation and displays failure if indoor fan speed is too high (>High Fan+300RPM) or too low (<400RPM).
- Cross Zero Signal Error: Stops operation and displays failure if no cross zero signals are detected in 4 minutes.
- Outdoor Condenser High Temperature Protection: Stops compressor if T3>65°C for 3 minutes (cooling mode).
- Outdoor Low Temperature Protection: Stops compressor and fan motor if outdoor temperature is below -15°C for 1 hour.
- Cooling Capacity Test Frequency Lock: Allows locking the frequency at 78Hz for testing purposes by setting indoor temp to 17°C, high speed, and pushing the outdoor check button for 5 seconds.
- Indoor Unit LED Display Function: Provides error codes (E0-E6, P0-P5) for various issues such as EEPROM error, communication error, zero-crossing examination error, fan speed beyond control, sensor defects, inverter module protection, voltage protection, compressor top protection, compressor current protection, and outdoor low temp protection.
- Outdoor Unit LED Display Function:
- Standby: Displays the number of indoor units online.
- Operation: Displays the frequency of the outdoor unit.
- Defrost: Displays "df".
- Protection/Error: Displays specific codes (E0-E7, P0-P6) for issues like EEPROM error, indoor unit pipe temp sensor defects, outdoor temp sensor defect, compressor voltage protection, communication error, compressor top protection, high/low pressure protection, compressor current protection, inverter module protection, outdoor low temp protection, and condenser high-temperature protection.
- Check Function: A check button on the outdoor PCB allows displaying various operational parameters in sequence, including capacity demand, running mode, revised capacity, fan state, evaporator pipe temperatures (for each indoor unit), outdoor pipe temperature, outdoor temperature, discharge gas temperature, current of outdoor unit, opening degree of electronic expansion valves (for each unit), indoor unit number, and last protection/error code.
- Outdoor Fan Speed Control: The two-speed outdoor fan is controlled based on ambient temperature.
- Oil Return Function: If the operation frequency is below 54Hz for 2 consecutive hours, it will increase to 62Hz for 3 minutes to facilitate oil return, then revert to the previous frequency.
