DELL S320 DIGITAL PROJECTOR
SAFETY
1 CAUTION: Projector lens and ventilation outlet can get very HOT. Never leave the
projector unattended and keep out of the reach of children and pets.
2 Plug the machine into a grounded, three-prong outlet. Use of an extension cord is not
recommended. Be sure the cord is placed so that your guests will not trip over it or
cause it to disconnect from the outlet.
3 CAUTION: Never look into the lens while the projector is on to avoid causing injury to
your eyes.
4 Do not use the projector in areas of excessive heat or cold. If used outdoors, take care
to keep the projector out of direct sunlight, dry, and free of dust.
SETUP
1 Set up the S320 on a safe and stable surface. The projector should be located between
1.5 - 12 feet from your projection surface. Plug in following directions above.
2A Connect your computer using the provided VGA cable to connect to the VGA-A IN port
on the back of the projector.
2B You may choose to connect the projector to a DVD player or television receiver instead
of a computer. You must supply your own S-video or HDMI cable for your components.
These can be connected to the back of the projector.
3 Remove the lens cap, and press the POWER button on the top of the projector. Turn on
your source (computer, DVD player, etc.) after the projector has powered on. It will take
the projector bulb a minute or two to warm up to full brightness.
4 The source for the projector is VGA-A by default. Press the SOURCE button on the
remote to change the input source of the projector if needed.
USE
1 Adjust the height and angle of the image using the adjustable rubber and plastic feet on
the bottom of the projector.
2 Rotate the focus ring on the front until the image is clear and in focus.
3 The remote control will work best within twenty feet of the projector and having a clear
line of sight.
SHUTDOWN
1 To power down, press the POWER button once. A confirmation message will appear on
the screen; press the POWER button a second time to confirm. Leave the projector
plugged in for at least ten minutes after powering down to allow the fans to cool the
interior of the projector.
2 Unplug all cords and replace the lens cap. Adjust the rubber feet back to their lowest
setting to avoid damage in transit. Wipe any dust from the projector with a dry cloth
and return the projector and all components to the travel box.
