Water Line Connections
A.
Ensureallfittingsandendconnectionsarefreeof
debris.Faucetfittings(1)are3/8"compression,with
endscoloredredforhotandblueforcold.Loop
tubing(2)ifitistoolong.Note: Recommended
tubing minimum bend diameter is 8". Secure
metalnut(3)onfaucettubetosupplyvalve
connection(4)andhandtighten,thentightenone
additionalturnwithwrench.DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN.Repeatforothertube. WARNING:
Do not use pipe dope or other sealants on water
line connections.
B.
Custom Fit Connections
If you determine the PEX supply tubing for this
faucet is too long and must be shorter to create
an acceptable installation, be sure to read the
instructions and plan ahead. When cutting the
supply tubing the installer accepts the
responsibility to do so in a way that allows a
leak-free joint to be created. Delta is not
responsible for tubing that is cut too short or
cut in a way that will not allow for a
leak-free joint.
 Forcustomfitinstallations,youmustuseRP50952
sleevessuppliedwithmodelandnutsincludedon
supplylines.Tube cut must be straight. See
plasticsleeveinstallationinstructionsfoundin
RP50952andincludedinthisdocumentformore
information.
 Securemetalnut(1)onfaucettubetosupplyvalve
connection(2)andhandtighten,thentightenan
additional2turnswithwrench.DONOT
OVERTIGHTEN.Repeatforothertube.
Potential Problems and Remedies
lTubing is not cut perpendicular to the axis of the
tube:carefullymakeanadditionalcut,beingcareful
nottocutthetubetooshort.
lTubing is cut too short:buyacouplingunionanda
replacementsupplylinethatmatetogetherfroma
store.Thecouplingunionendintendedtoconnectto
thefaucetmustmatetothestandard3/8"
connectionnutsandplasticsleevessuppliedwith
thefaucet.
lThe plastic sleeve or connection nut is lost:
purchaseareplacementnutand/orplasticsleevethat
aredesignedtosealwithPEXtubing.NOTICE: DO
NOT use a metal sleeve, RP51243 gasket (supplied
with faucet) or ferrule in the place of the plastic
sleeve supplied, it may not create a leak-free joint.
WARNING: Do not use pipe dope or other
sealants on water line connections.

B.
 Conexões Sob Medida 
 Se você determinar que a tubulação PEX fornecida
para esta torneira é muito longa e deve ser mais
curta para uma melhor instalação, não deixe de
ler as instruções e planejar com antecedência.
Ao cortar a tubulação, o instalador aceita a
responsabilidade de fazê-lo de forma que se possa
obter uma junta sem vazamentos. A Delta não se
responsabiliza por uma tubulação cortada muito
curta ou de tal modo que não permite uma junta
livre de vazamentos.
 Parainstalaçõessobmedida,vocêdeveutilizaras
luvasRP50952fornecidascomatorneiraeasporcas
incluídasnaslinhasdeabastecimento.O tubo deve
ser cortado reto.Vejaasinstruçõesdeinstalaçãoda
luvadeplásticoencontradanoRP50952eincluídas
nestedocumentoparaobtermaisinformações.
 Fixeaporcademetal(1)notubodatorneira
paraverificaraconexãodaválvula(2)eaaperte
manualmente;aseguirapertemais2voltascoma
chave.NÃO APERTE DEMAIS.Repitaoprocedimento

Possíveis Problemas e Soluções
l A tubulação não foi cortada
perpendicularmente ao eixo do tubo:fazer
umcorteadicional,tomandocuidadoparanão
cortarotubomuitocurto.
l A tubulação foi cortada muito curta:comprar
emumalojaumajunçãodeacoplamentoe
umalinhadeabastecimentosubstitutaque
combinem.Apontadajunçãodeacoplamento
destinadaaconectarcomatorneiradeve
combinarcomasroscasdeconexãoeluvasde
plásticode3/8”fornecidascomatorneira.
l A luva de plástico ou as porcas de conexão
foram perdidas:comprarumaporcade
substituiçãoe/ouumaluvadeplásticoque
foramdesenhadasparaselarumatubulação
PEX.AVISO: NÃO use uma luva de metal,
uma gaxeta RP51243 (fornecida com
torneira) ou virolas de fixação no lugar
da luva de plástico fornecida, ou não será
possível criar uma junta livre de vazamentos.
AVISO: Não use tubos lubrificados ou outros
selantes em conexões da tubulação de água.
