A Series Diesel Engine Fuel System 76
The Robert Bosch valve does not make a very
audible sound when actuated, but it can be checked
with an ohmmeter for the following values:
Robert Bosch
Shut Down
Values
Resistance
Ohms
Peak
Amperes
12 Volt 7.4 + 0.5 2
Caution : Do not connect the electrical wire to the
solenoid when the plunger has been
removed. Without the plunger the valve
can be damaged.
Malfunctioning valves can be diagnosed by removing
the plunger and spring, then reinstall the solenoid.
