What to do if EGO CS1600-FC bar and chain running hot and smoking?

  If the bar and chain are running hot and smoking, the chain tension might be too tight, so re-tension the saw chain. Also, the chain oil tank may be empty, requiring you to fill it with bar and chain lubricant. Another cause may be debris in the guide bar groove, which you'll need to clear.
