Fluid Maintenance
The hydraulic uid is an important component of each Bettis Gas/Hydraulic operator system. An
aviation grade hydraulic uid is used unless Customer specied otherwise. Contact the factory for
suitable gas/hydraulic system compatible hydraulic uids.
1. Do not add automatic transmission uid, brake uid, methanol or any other solvent to the
hydraulic uid as it can damage the seals of some internal components. Flush the system
with recommended uid only.
2. Operators/systems that cycle more than 2-3 times per week (unit suction/discharge,
pig launcher, receiver block valves) should have the hydraulic uid changed annually.

• Conoco Megaow AW HVI 15
• MOBIL UNIVIS HVI 13
• MOBIL UNIVIS N22
• MOBIL DTE 10 EXCEL 22
NOTE:
All other hydraulic uids must be approved to use by the manufacturer.
