Electrical connections
• The electrical connection on the building side (mains socket) may
only be made by a licensed electrical engineering company! The na-
tional regulations in the country where the device is operated are to
be observed. Data and/or control cables are to be installed at least 10
cm away from the mains cable. The mains connection must be in-
stalled before the device is assembled.
• It is recommended that a selective residual current device with a rat-
ed trip current of 30 mA be installed. Only one device shall be con-
nected to any given residual current device.
• The device must be connected to a protective conductor.
• The cross-section of the lines must be chosen in compliance with the
national regulations (in Germany: VDE0100), e.g. line lengths and the
device lead are to be taken into consideration. An individual line is re-
quired for each device. The labelling must show the assignment to
the device.
• The electrical installation is to be fitted with an easily accessible all
pole isolating device (master switch) on the building side, complying
with overvoltage category III. This means that each pin shall have a
contact opening width complying with the conditions of overvoltage
category III for full isolation.
• If it is connected via a plug and socket, the plug system used shall
comply with EN 60309-1/A11; 5-pin; 400 V AC (16A or 32A).
• The connections and the associated fuses must be readily accessi-
ble. Fuse rating 16A.
